Easter/Mothers Day

Hello everyone, this is Melanie, Katie's sister, posting for her. Katie really wants to share this cute family picture and some pictures of the Easter/Mother's Day party we had. But working 3 jobs, a busy church calling, cleaning, laundry and being a Mom have left no time for blogging. So that is when it helps to have a pushy computer literate big sister, lol. It also helps that our blogger passwords are almost identical, we must have the same vibe when it comes to passwords!

I really admire how hard Katie works, how much she loves her family and the dedication she puts into being an upbeat on the go Mom for her boys. I am so proud of her. I couldn't ask for a better sister and I am so glad we live close, Happy Mother's Day Katie!

Have you ever had that moment when you don't quite know what to say?!

So I was buckling Ethan(4) in his car seat when he said mom stop. You must be berry berry careful not to do what grandma did. I said what did grandma do??? Boy did I ask for it... he said she smashed my little eggies when she buckled me in last time. It took me a minute to process what he was talking about (his parts). I cracked a smile and tried not to laugh at his seriously worried face. It was then I realize we might have to have an anatomy lesson in the future. Wow eggies what do you say to that.

Fall is here

We decided to go for a drive in the mountains to see the fall leaves and ended up in Midway at the park chasing ducks and geese.

A night to remember

last night I was up late typing letters for school and I heard what sounded like my son Ethan talking.... so I went to check it out. Ethan was singing in his sleep, yes I said singing and fast asleep. Not just mumbling totally singing and in tune. He was singing some song with the words,"Its a rich man's world doot doot doot". I laughed so hard I had to leave the room. He loves to sing and he might just grow up to be some famous singer and then we could all have a great laugh. Its a rich man's world doot doot doot!

When your husband thinks you have done nothing all day.

Some days my husband comes home from work and I can tell by his actions and the look on his face he is wondering what I have done all day. So I decided to take a picture as evidence to prove things go on he has no idea about. This was a great day until mom needed to use the restroom. Yes occasionally moms need to go too. So in that short time this mess appeared and wow was it a big one! A full package of colored Goldfish crackers emptied and smashed all over the kitchen floor. It was either cry or take a picture and laugh later.

We tried to take a family picture... and boy was it hard to get a good one. Ethan my oldest son has a shining personality but also is filled with Craziness and sarcasm. I don't know who he got that from!! Anyway take a vote on the family picture you would enlarge to an 8x10 to hang on the wall!
